ATA009 with Dirty Daddy Don: you could live here

In each episode a DJ shares a side to their music taste they rarely get to show; not a club set, not what they are usually expected to play. Step into their private world and discover what they grew up listening to, their go-to songs for singing in the shower, their musical guilty pleasures, and more. The music that plays when the after is over and it's time to go home.

Every episode is recorded as a continuous listen on SoundCloud and published as a playlist on Apple Music and YouTube Music. Follow on Instagram and check back for new episodes.

“For this playlist I focused on a specific time period in my digging: the mid & late 2000s. Significant for its digital imprint on my listening as much as the live shows I attended. No longer was I at the edge of a mosh pit or up front staring at the drummer. Synths were replacing guitars. Drum machines seeped into my Limewire searches while vocals got chopped up and twisted into oblivion. My tastes branched off into 100 new directions and never looked back. This is also around the time queerness fully entered my life, as a listener and as a participant.”
