the B-side of club DJs

In each episode a DJ shares a side to their music taste they rarely get to show; not a club set, not what they are usually expected to play. Step into their private world and discover what they grew up listening to, their go-to songs for singing in the shower, their musical guilty pleasures, and more. The music that plays when the after is over and it's time to go home.

Every episode is recorded as a continuous listen on SoundCloud and published as a playlist on Apple Music and YouTube Music. Follow on Instagram and check back for new episodes.

ATA015 with SXCL: Smoke & Rain

after the after · 30.08.2025 · all episodes

“My biggest inspiration is the people I cross path with. Many songs of these playlist are memories of lovers, friends, roommates, others. Memories of my life in Réunion Island, Paris, Leipzig and Berlin. The theme is somehow to find hope in the deep melancholia of life, a feeling I identify deeply. Smoke & Rain is perfect to dose out and dream on. You will find a lot of guitar and synth, two instruments that I’ve been wanting to get closer to.”
