the B-side of club DJs

In each episode a DJ shares a side to their music taste they rarely get to show; not a club set, not what they are usually expected to play. Step into their private world and discover what they grew up listening to, their go-to songs for singing in the shower, their musical guilty pleasures, and more. The music that plays when the after is over and it's time to go home.

Every episode is recorded as a continuous listen on SoundCloud and published as a playlist on Apple Music and YouTube Music. Follow on Instagram and check back for new episodes.

“I was heavily inspired from a young age by hiphop music. My dad’s a graffiti artist and breakdancer since the 80s/90s so I grew up with hiphop and breaks as the main sound of my childhood. When I was 14, I used to record myself on reaper playing the microkorg over DJ Shadow tracks. It’s what primed me for using DAWs and synthesizers. The crispy productions and sampling techniques caught my attention on a technical level and got me thinking about production pretty early on. The tracks I have chosen are a combination of old and new favourites. Some I have been listening to for 20+ years. I wanted to curate a mixture of tracks that have inspired me or that have been stuck in my head over the years.”
