the B-side of club DJs

In each episode a DJ shares a side to their music taste they rarely get to show; not a club set, not what they are usually expected to play. Step into their private world and discover what they grew up listening to, their go-to songs for singing in the shower, their musical guilty pleasures, and more. The music that plays when the after is over and it's time to go home.

Every episode is recorded as a continuous listen on SoundCloud and published as a playlist on Apple Music and YouTube Music. Follow on Instagram and check back for new episodes.

ATA030 with Olsvanger: Listening To Pictures

after the after · 07.10.2025 · all episodes

“At its core, the concept is ultimately less of a playlist and more of an experiment in crafting an imaginary soundtrack, a visual narrative built solely through music. It mirrors the constant, unpredictable fluctuations within a lifetime, as an ongoing “cinematic creation”, and the dynamic yet eternal human soul, in all its beauty and chaos. A collection of songs that either bring me to tears or have the power to lead me down a psycho-dreamy, heavenly, enchanted path. They numb, melt, and open my heart, sometimes even making me hallucinate, visualize, fall apart, and step outside myself in the most profoundly moving way. Play it on a winter night of candlelight and dry red wine; soft, melancholic, intimate, and occasionally tinged with a sense of erotica.”
