the B-side of club DJs

In each episode a DJ shares a side to their music taste they rarely get to show; not a club set, not what they are usually expected to play. Step into their private world and discover what they grew up listening to, their go-to songs for singing in the shower, their musical guilty pleasures, and more. The music that plays when the after is over and it's time to go home.

Every episode is recorded as a continuous listen on SoundCloud and published as a playlist on Apple Music and YouTube Music. Follow on Instagram and check back for new episodes.

ATA040 with Skankstasy: music to tenderize the soul

after the after · 16.12.2025 · all episodes

“Beneath the skanky facade lies an incurable romantic. Especially at home, my listening habits can get really soulful, which is where this playlist is best savoured. It gathers some of my most cherished artists, vocalists, and singer-songwriters that have accompanied me through the years. Implicitly, it is also a nod to my musical godfathers, Carmen 16, Sweetapple, Soup*42, and of course, my father, whose mixed tapes, ripped CDs, and playlist exchanges fundamentally shaped the music I love and play today.”
