the B-side of club DJs

In each episode a DJ shares a side to their music taste they rarely get to show; not a club set, not what they are usually expected to play. Step into their private world and discover what they grew up listening to, their go-to songs for singing in the shower, their musical guilty pleasures, and more. The music that plays when the after is over and it's time to go home.

Every episode is recorded as a continuous listen on SoundCloud and published as a playlist on Apple Music and YouTube Music. Follow on Instagram and check back for new episodes.

ATA044 with oblique: Faith in Strangers

after the after · 13.01.2026 · all episodes

“This is a story about longing and belonging. About high hopes and deep desires. About putting faith in strangers in moments of intimacy.” This playlist can be listened as a sequence of an encounter which invites you to put your own narrative onto the canvas. In the beginning you feel subtle approaches that turn more and more into devotion. You can grasp an idea of a tenderness which even grows into more passionate promises and symbiotic devour. With the song “The Night Mail” a series of questions arises: “Do I feel seen, do I really see the other? Or do I only meet my own projected desires?” A slow doubt starts to tiptoe into the in-between. “Some have to destroy what they can’t have, some will carry an idea of the other in remembrance, some numb themselves between the bars and some embrace their solitude on the road.”
