the B-side of club DJs

In each episode a DJ shares a side to their music taste they rarely get to show; not a club set, not what they are usually expected to play. Step into their private world and discover what they grew up listening to, their go-to songs for singing in the shower, their musical guilty pleasures, and more. The music that plays when the after is over and it's time to go home.

Every episode is recorded as a continuous listen on SoundCloud and published as a playlist on Apple Music and YouTube Music. Follow on Instagram and check back for new episodes.

“people that know me know i’m an EMOTIONAL person, pisces down. i feel hard and i feel deeply, and music is the perfect vessel to make you channel your feelings — especially after weekends filled with little sleep and lots of candy. this playlist reflects the tunes i’ve been listening to throughout my life, ranging from rnb as a dance obsessed kid to shoegaze as a depressed 20 year old. it starts with ambient, to guide you from your electronic club music memories towards a more melancholic and nostalgic mood. then it’s time to get yourself together: you have a nice breakfast, you’ll go out for a walk and listen to hiphop, pop, and dancehall, that makes you feel happy and sexy again; to end with some booty shaking beats. the beautiful thing about life is that it has its highs and its lows, and it’s impossible to have one without the other. this playlist is there to dwell and dive into feelings of fragility, but also to remind you who you are in the end: a party girl.”
