the B-side of club DJs

In each episode a DJ shares a side to their music taste they rarely get to show; not a club set, not what they are usually expected to play. Step into their private world and discover what they grew up listening to, their go-to songs for singing in the shower, their musical guilty pleasures, and more. The music that plays when the after is over and it's time to go home.

Every episode is recorded as a continuous listen on SoundCloud and published as a playlist on Apple Music and YouTube Music. Follow on Instagram and check back for new episodes.

these tracks are taken from my decade plus old playlist cutely named CHILLIN KILLIN - since the invention of the ipod, teenage yaz was completely enamoured to be able to be connected to music 24/7, keeping my soul happy and blessed discovering all kinds of new music. I grew up with 90s r&b and 00's pop, with dubstep and grime being my first underground genres as a South London native which was a rite of passage around my early teens. This playlist took me through high school and uni until fully committing to the idea of becoming a dj and producer. Expect soulful, gorgeous and delicate electronic beats and b-sides from the more famous kin, spanning a lot of genres representing the multi faceted upbringing and inspirations throughout my formative years as a soon 2 be selector ;)
