Before electronic music became my life, there was all the music that shaped me. These are the songs that accompanied me through every phase of my youth. The tracks I listened to while driving through the mountains with my uncle on our way to ride downhill. The songs that helped me through emotional moments, heartbreaks, friendships, and all the highs and lows that come with growing up. Hip-hop I listened to while sitting at home, sketching my next graffiti piece before taking it to a wall. Music that fueled creativity, inspired expression, and became part of my identity. Many of these tracks are still the ones I turn on today when I want to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with myself. But there was always more than just one genre. There were the cheesy party anthems, the Neue Deutsche Welle classics we played when there was no techno running, the songs blasting through the skatepark speakers, and all the music that became the soundtrack to unforgettable memories. Today, electronic music is my life. I spend countless hours digging for new records, discovering hidden gems, and constantly searching for sounds that move me. Along the way, I also fell in love with vinyl, for me a way of appreciating music on a deeper level, of truly owning and preserving the art that means so much to me. Every track in this playlist carries a piece of my story. Together, they represent the music that guided me through my youth and helped shape the person I am today.
